Help bring Ms. Derryll back home to Church Street!

“Ms. Derryll” as she is affectionately known, is a fixture in the character and legacy of Fayetteville. Ms Derryll is a Fayetteville native and activist for over 25 years, served on the Fayetteville Planning & Zoning Commission, and has been instrumental in community development, advocating for Church Street improvements. Born in 1948, she’s an alumna of Clark Atlanta University and once assisted U.S. Senator Wyche Fowler before returning to Fayetteville. Derryll remains an integral part of the community and is a greeter at the City of Fayetteville City Hall.

Ms. Derryll was displaced from her home in 2023 and is in a temporary living situation. She does not have the resources to be able to afford a home. Square Foot Ministry stepped in, along with many in our community who have been impacted by Ms. Derryll’s optimism and care, and are working to bring her back home to the place where she grew up and loves...Church Street. The plan is to build her a home through the mission of Square Foot Ministry. Watch her amazing story and see how you can donate time, make a financial contribution, and even help build the house in 2024. Together, we will demonstrate what it means to be a caring community... our special home, Fayetteville.

Our fundraising goal is $165,000
